This course is for people who
already hold or are completing a Certificate III in Community
Services (Aged Care Work) or who may already be employed in
the aged care industry. The course provides you with the knowledge
and skills to competently assist the client with self-medication
according to organisational guidelines and procedures and
in accordance with the Poisons Act and other relevant legislation
in the state or territory. You will have the opportunity to
develop skills and knowledge to assist clients to self-medicate,
working under the supervision of a registered nurse or supervisor.
