CUF20107 - Certificate II in Creative Industries

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who may perform a range of routine tasks in the creative industry sector. It is also an excellent course for developing computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer programs. Students enrolling in, and successfully completing this program have the added advantage of also gaining 21773VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults, preparing them for study at a higher Certificate level.

There are no formal entry requirements.

Career Opportunities

Successful students will be able to apply for work as the following:

  • Community Radio Production Assistant
  • Community Television Production Assistant

Study Pathways

Completion of this course will prepare students for study in Certificate III in Media. Students may also wish to move over into Business studies at Certificate III level.

Duration

This program begins in February and concludes in October.

Students must successfully complete all units to be awarded the qualification.

Delivery Modes

Classes will be held weekly in Wimmera HUB’s computer room

Placement Information

Wimmera HUB will support students to complete 40 hours of practical work placement.

Resources

As a Registered Training Organisation, Wimmera HUB is able to order SmallPrint Learning Resources textbooks at a competitive price for students. However, students may source and order their own textbooks. Please speak to the Program Coordinators on how to access suitable textbooks.

Cost

The cost for this course will vary, depending on your eligibility for government funding, whether you wish to RPL, complete a partial enrolment or hold a valid concession. A deposit is required to secure your place in the program. Assistance is available for those who are unable to afford fee payment up front.
