CHC40808 - Certificate IV in Community Development
Anyone who wishes to help community members to work together to influence and guide the future of their community should study this qualification. Work with this qualification would include a broad range of programs, which would contribute to the development of the community through social change processes.
There are no formal academic requirements needed prior to study. However, participants will need to provide evidence of the ability to study at Certificate II level, and will ideally be employed in a capacity that will enable immediate application of the knowledge and skills learned.

Study Pathways
Ideally students will have completed Certificate III or IV level study in any one of the Community Services Studies, or be employed in a capacity that enables them to coordinate community programs. Successful completion of this qualification will enable students to go on to complete the Diploma of Community Services.

This course is Full-time, running from February to November.

Delivery Modes
This course will be offered via self-paced learning and with attendance required at workshops.
Placement Information
Wimmera HUB will provide support to students in completing 40 hours of practical work placement. Those already employed in services that require demonstration of the skills and knowledge contained in this qualification will be required to complete an employer testimonial.

As a Registered Training Organisation, Wimmera HUB is able to order SmallPrint Learning Resources textbooks at a competitive price for students. However, students may source and order their own textbooks. Please speak to the Program Coordinators on how to access suitable textbooks.
Cost
The cost for this course will vary, depending on your eligibility for government funding, whether you wish to RPL, complete a partial enrolment or hold a valid concession. A deposit is required to secure your place in the program. Assistance is available for those who are unable to afford fee payment up front.
