Most of our courses are run at the Wimmera HUB adult education learning centre with flexible options offered to distance learners – supported via telephone, e-mail and online learning environments (e-learning).

Business Services

  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context using some discretion, judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge.

  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals who may perform a range of routine tasks in the creative industry sector. It is also an excellent course for developing computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer programs. Students enrolling in, and successfully completing this program have the added advantage of also gaining 21773VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults, preparing them for study at a higher Certificate level.

Community Services

  • This program is designed to introduce the student to work in a variety of Community Services industries. These include Aged Care, Disability, Children’s Services and Youth Work. Students enrolling in, and successfully completing this program have the added advantage of also gaining 21773VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults, preparing them for study at a higher Certificate level.

  • Two for the price of one! This dual qualification will enable successful students to work in the Aged Care sector in both residential facilities and in elderly people’s homes. You will become proficient in health monitoring and personal care, offer environmental and social support and information and advocacy services.

  • This course provides a qualification for those who are working, or seeking work as a Childcare Worker, Playgroup Supervisor, Family Day Care Worker or a Nanny. You will be learning how to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitate their leisure and play, and learn how to enable them to achieve their developmental milestones.

  • This is the qualification for those already working in the Aged Care industry and already holding Certificate III in Aged Care, and addresses work primarily in high level care residential facilities.

  • Successful completion of this qualification will enable workers to develop services and programs to meet the emotional, physical and social needs of people with disabilities. The skills and knowledge you gain in advanced communication, empowerment techniques and support of daily living activities will be a huge advantage to Disability Support Services employers.

  • Anyone who wishes to help community members to work together to influence and guide the future of their community should study this qualification. Work with this qualification would include a broad range of programs, which would contribute to the development of the community through social change processes.

  • Students successfully completing this qualification will be able to seek employment in community, government and welfare agencies. The work will involve helping develop and facilitate programs for young people to address their social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs.

Education and Training

  • This qualification covers workers in a range of education settings including public and independent schools and community education settings that provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad based supervision.
